We are going to The Wedding Industry Awards…

So 2012 has been a massive year for us, we have won 3 awards for “Best Wedding Transport Company” and shortlisted for “Best Wedding Website”. We won the North of England Wedding Award, Wedding Industry Experts Award and most recently we won our region for best transport at The Wedding Industry Awards. This means we are now being put through for the national award for best wedding transport.

We are all so excited here at YHB HQ and it is great to be recognised, especially as we are not your “usual” wedding transport, like cars, limos or VWs.

I booked our tickets this week for our London trip to the awards ceremony at the stunning Bloomsbury Ballroom and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone.

We don’t take the awards too seriously, we really do feel it is the taking part that counts and it is fun to be part of the process. We are up against some fantastic competition, like Dennisson Classic Cars who won last year, another family business like us. It would be the perfect end to a great year if we won and we wish everyone the best of luck!

We are all here in the wedding industry to work together to do an amazing job for our couples and we couldn’t think of a better way to join in the fun and celebrate all of the wedding industry talent.

Roll on the awards…

Festive wishes and love,

“I specialise in shooting country style weddings. I love tee pee weddings decorated with bunting and barns decorated with jam jars, meadow flowers and gingham ribbon. I  like to make simple, uncluttered images with a sense of light, colour, environment and emotion.

I love big skies, whether stormy-cloud-grey or ‘lonely as a cloud’ bright blue and sunny…My pictures show my couples experiencing their wedding day with laughter and joy. Sometimes, my pictures show a quiet or contemplative romantic moment.

Influenced by the english countryside and the ever changing seasons, I love to show the unique environment of the wedding and the couple within” AnneMarie

“Capturing that special moment is what photography’s all about for me. A photograph is the ultimate way of recording a precious moment from the first kiss as man and wife to wetting the baby’s head at a christening.

I specialise in wedding and lifestyle photography because I love working with people and shooting in the reportage style. I’m known for my ease and friendliness therefore achieving the most natural expressions in photographs.” Lissa Alexandra.

“I have worked as a photographer for many years now and especially love the quirky and unusual. I love taking photographs that hold a little piece of that person in them, whether it be a special location, a personal item or just the people they love and adore in it. Photographs are the key to dusting off old memories, remembering good times and reflecting who we are…. sounding too soppy? Well, just go dig out some old photos from the back of your cupboard and I dare you not to smile whilst looking at them :)” Haywood Jones.
